Further refined in both design and technology, the Carl Valentin Vario III thermal transfer industrial label printer combines the reliability of a robust label printer with maximum ease of use.

The Vario Series, now in its Vario III generation, brings together advanced technical improvements and a user-friendly design. This model includes all key options such as a guillotine cutter, label dispenser, external rewinder, RFID and barcode scanner. A wireless interface can also be added for remote data transmission. The optional large touch-screen display makes operation simple and intuitive, eliminating the need for a mouse or similar device — just like using a smartphone or tablet.

Vario III supports a full range of accessories, including external label rewinders, dispensing units, cutters and barcode scanners. It communicates with IT systems via serial, parallel, USB, Ethernet and optionally wireless. It also supports USB memory sticks and stand-alone operation, enhanced by the integrated RealTimeClock.

Printhead

Equipped with an internal rewinder (max roll diameter 100 mm), an optional 7″ touch-screen display and a standard Ethernet interface, the Vario III series is also available with RFID, barcode scanner and W-LAN options, plus next-generation input/output. It also includes triple USB host ports, for connecting a USB keyboard, a memory stick and a Compact Flash card drive.

Touch-screen
The control interface features an effective touch-screen. The display is optionally available with a 7.7-inch diagonal and a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Cutting device
The Guillotine cutting device handles materials weighing up to approximately 240 g/m². Thanks to a powerful motor and hardened blades, it achieves a long service life (over one million cuts).

Label dispenser
Printing is triggered once the label has been removed, either through the dispenser photocell or by an external signal. The label can also be removed by an applicator, for example.
