Aicon Side Scan

X-ray system for the inspection of vertical packaging

The Aicon Side Scan series is designed for the X-ray inspection of products in vertical packaging, such as bottles, jars, cans, tubes and tins. The system uses a side-scanning geometry (single or multi-beam) that makes it possible to accurately analyse the most critical areas of the container – such as the base, the walls and the cap area – ensuring effective detection of contaminants and filling defects even in complex or opaque products. The range comprises several configurations: 1-View for standard single-side inspection, 2-View for two-sided control, and the 4-View and 4-BV versions for complete 360° inspection, ideal for high-throughput lines and high-value products. High-speed data processing and dual-energy imaging technology ensure maximum detection accuracy even at high line speeds. Made of stainless steel with a hygienic design and IP69 protection rating, Aicon Side Scan is designed for production environments that require frequent washdowns and high food safety standards. The intuitive user interface, the automatic diagnostics and compatibility with the main industrial protocols make it easy to integrate and to use day to day.
