Cheese wheels inspection and control

For inspection, control and classification of entire cheese wheels, nimax supplies the Loma X5 800 XL X-ray inspection system.

The Loma X5 800 XL is the only system on the market able to automatically inspect and classify cheese wheels without operator intervention (watch the video).

Designed specifically for the food industry, it is built in AISI 304 stainless steel for easy cleaning and sanitation, employs food-grade materials, and can process up to 360 cheese wheels per hour.

The Loma X5 800 XL performs two types of inspection simultaneously:

  • Detection of foreign objects inside the cheese.
  • Classification of wheels based on internal air pockets.

Classification settings are fully configurable through an intuitive interface, enabling operators to adjust sensitivity to production needs.

The system is versatile: it can be integrated into fully automated production lines, or operated in semi-automatic or manual mode.
