Aicon Poultry

High-performance X-ray system for raw meat and poultry quality control

Aicon Poultry is an ultra high-performance X-ray inspection system specifically developed for the quality control of raw meat and poultry products. Equipped with a photon-counting detector (AICON PCT™) and a high-speed data processing platform, the Aicon Poultry X-ray system can detect calcified bone fragments down to around 1 mm, as well as other solid contaminants typically found in poultry applications. Aicon Poultry delivers one of the highest Probability of Detection (POD) levels for calcified bones, metal contamination, glass, stones, Teflon, ceramics, high-density plastics, product agglomerations, and other defects, while maintaining a very low False Reject Rate (FRR). This combination increases product safety while reducing unnecessary waste. The system is configured for the most demanding raw meat and poultry inspection applications: source and detector parameters are tuned for maximum performance, while dedicated control electronics and proprietary image analysis algorithms provide stable inspection even under challenging production conditions with high product variability.
