Domino R550

Domino R550 is the vision system for simplified automatic inspection of coding and marking

The Domino R550 vision system lets you verify the presence, position and quality of the codes on your product packaging. It is simple to integrate and to use on high-speed production lines (up to 60,000 items per hour) and on the highly automated lines of the Food, Beverage and Cosmetics sectors.

Domino R550 is a turnkey solution that minimizes waste and the risk of batch recalls. With Domino R550 you can check the presence and position of the code, count characters, run MRC checks (machine-readable code verification) and OCR/OCV content control.

The Main Benefits

icona raggiungimento obbiettivi

Designed to integrate quickly into high-speed lines (up to 60,000 items per hour).

icona soddisfazione

The onboard hardware is ready to integrate and to accommodate future developer updates.

icona integrazione 2

Maximum precision with every Domino printer and compatible with third-party products.

Encoding Type

Coding and marking errors are common on a production line, but they can be prevented with vision systems for coding quality control.

A coding error can lead to heavy fines, costly product recalls and above all damage to the company’s image, which over the long term can prove far more expensive than any fine or withdrawal.

In food and beverage, companies have to deal with high-speed production lines, huge numbers of products and harsh production environments that are very humid and full of water, sugars and liquids. That is why having vision and inspection systems in place is fundamentally important.

FAQ

What are industrial vision systems for?
Vision systems automatically check the presence, position, legibility and correctness of the codes printed on products.

What errors do vision systems detect?
They detect missing, illegible or incorrectly positioned codes, and codes whose content does not comply, preventing production errors.

Can vision systems be integrated into existing lines?
Yes, vision systems integrate easily even into automated, high-speed production lines.

Why install a vision system for coding quality control?
Because it prevents downtime, waste and batch recalls caused by incorrect or illegible codes, and ensures compliance with regulations and large-retail guidelines. Vision systems are used above all in the food, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors, where coding control is essential.
