Domino G50i

Domino G50i: Designed for Primary and Secondary Packaging Coding

The Domino G50i thermal inkjet printer is the ideal solution for high-speed production lines. It is suitable for coding products on flat surfaces, flexible films before forming and sealing, and well-guided boxes (where there is no movement variation or transport instability). The most common applications include, but are not limited to, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), personal care, and food packaging. The Domino G50i prints alphanumeric codes and codes readable by scanners and vision systems with high resolution up to 600×600 dpi. It can code at speeds of up to 76 m/min at 300×300 dpi, including QR codes, DataMatrix, 1D barcodes with high readability, and text messages containing extensive information for packaging. Domino’s water-based and ethanol-based ink options are designed for both porous and non-porous substrates, including paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, films, and flexible packaging materials. With no complex installation and no maintenance required, once the Domino G50i is installed, all that is needed is to replace the ink cartridge inside the printhead when it runs out. Additionally, the printer can be connected to a checkweigher via the communication port for enhanced production line integration.

The Main Benefits

icona tecnico

The Domino G50i can print data directly from a database, allowing each print to be unique. This enables item-level coding and supports anti-counterfeiting applications.

icona intuitività

Thanks to its intuitive user interface, users can create and modify codes via the HMI or by using a web browser directly from a PC, smartphone, or tablet. Additionally, codes can be uploaded via the USB port on the HMI.

icona integrazione 2

The 5-inch color touchscreen display provides a clear and user-friendly experience. The remote printhead of the Domino G50i thermal inkjet printer allows for both vertical and horizontal installation, making it easy to integrate into existing production lines.

Encoding Type

BK119 ink

BK119 ink, for use with Domino Gx Series and Domino G Series thermal inkjet coders, is a fast-drying solvent ink suited to coding on a wide range of non-porous substrates, including BOPP, PE, PET, aluminium foil and PVC.

The ink is also the perfect choice for printing on aluminium in blister machines, complies with GMP and Swiss List standards and is the ideal solution for coding and marking on food packaging.

FAQ

Which materials can industrial inkjet coders print on?
Industrial inkjet coders can code and mark a wide range of materials, including cardboard, plastic, glass, PET, metal, flexible films and secondary packaging. Thanks to the different technologies available (CIJ, TIJ, high and low resolution), they suit a great many industrial sectors.

What information can be printed with an inkjet coder?
Industrial inkjet systems can print batch codes, expiry dates, 1D and 2D barcodes, QR codes, datamatrix codes, logos, variable text and product traceability information. Some models also support data serialisation and high-definition coding.

Are inkjet coders suitable for high-speed production lines?
Yes. Industrial inkjet coders are designed to work even on very fast production lines, delivering sharp, accurate and continuous printing with no direct contact with the product. Some models are developed specifically for complex, high-output production environments.

What advantages do industrial inkjet coders offer over other coding systems?
Inkjet coders offer great application flexibility, high print quality, operating speed and easy integration into production lines. They also cut machine downtime, require little maintenance and deliver reliable coding even in demanding industrial environments.
